I wanted to paint a new take on the Imperial city from the Elder Scrolls universe. Oblivion still is one of my favourite games from my childhood, but even back then I always felt the imperial city wasn't big and bustling enough to really come of as the central hub of Tamriel. I tried to capture that in my version, cramming in houses and structures in every available space on the island in the centre of lake Rumare.
This was a fun and tricky painting to produce, I hope you enjoy!
